French Haircutting, 9-Week Course
French Haircutting, 9-Week Course
The French hair cutting technique frames the face with the shape of the head, resulting in a soft and sexy look. Like a painter looking directly at the canvas, the French hairdresser has the guest stand in order to see that in which he or she cuts. The shape builds from the top down, falling perfectly with vertical partings.
Conversely, the British haircutting technique in which most of us were originally trained, is more like that of an architect. The shape builds from the bottom up, with horizontal partings.
French haircutting benefits the guest with wash and wear hair that has four different looks in each haircut. The client also experiences being part of their beautifying process and feels the professionalism of the approach.
Because it’s simple, fast, and fool-proof, mastering the new discipline of the French technique enables the hairdresser to work smarter, not harder.
